As far as I am aware, the following teams won’t be playing this season so their fixtures will be scrubbed…

The Gate A,
The Miners Standard A,
The Miners Standard C (Unless the C team have found a new home that I haven’t been told about)

I am also unsure about the Church Inn

Please don’t travel without making sure you actually have a team to play and also food isn’t prepared at the pub for a team that isn’t going to turn up….

The League A.G.M. will be at the Matlock Rugby Cub, Cromford Meadows on Tuesday November 30th at 7.30pm. Any items for the agenda please send to me in the next couple of weeks….Obviously we aren’t free of Covid so we will try to ensure that there are protocols in place and mask wearing while mingling is recommended.

Corona Virus

We have decided that we needed to be quite drastic and not keep putting the season back and back week by week.... so we will NOT play the cup or plate competitions this season, that will give us 4 free cup Sundays (June 7th, July 26th, September 6th and 13th) this means we can put the start of the league season back to May 31st and still finish when we were supposed to finish on Sept.13th.

Hopefully by the 31st May the situation will be much clearer and the season can go ahead, however if pubs still aren't open we will have to resort to other plans which I will reveal at a later date. I'm really upset it has come to this but the health and well being of players has to come first.

First 2020 Committee Meeting

The league is stirring back to life after its winter hibernation...the first Committee meeting is this evening... Unfortunately 3 teams have dropped out with only 2 coming in so I have had to drastically rejig the leagues. If anybody else is dropping out or indeed want to come in please let me know as soon as possible before I prepare the fixtures Regards Chris.

Congratulations to the Rising Sun C team, captained by Ben Hudson who at the end of the season top the DDBL leagues and also retained the cup once again. Thanks to all that played throughout this season and we welcome the next 2020 season.
